An exam of your teeth and gums, and a cleaning, so you know where they stand and how to look after them.
Most routine visits are a cleaning with Adamaris, the hygienist, and an exam with Dr. Almaraz. If something needs treatment, she explains it and starts nothing without your permission.

What happens at the visit
It is almost always a single visit. How often you should come back is Dr. Almaraz's decision after the exam.

Step 1: We talk
We ask how your teeth are and whether anything bothers you.

Step 2: The hygienist cleans
Adamaris removes tartar and shows you how to brush and floss.

Step 3: The dentist examines
Dr. Almaraz checks teeth, gums and mouth, and tells you what she sees and what comes next, if anything.
Comfort, alternatives and aftercare
Comfort
If anything bothers you, raise your hand and we stop. If your teeth are sensitive, tell us before we start.
Alternatives and waiting
If you would rather not have the cleaning now, Dr. Almaraz explains what can happen to tartar and gums if you wait, and you decide.
Aftercare and billing
Your gums can feel tender for a day or two. If the soreness lasts or gets worse, call us. You get the cost in writing before we start.

How often do I need a cleaning?
Dr. Almaraz decides after the exam. It is not the same for everyone.
Will you take X-rays?
Only if she needs them to see what the eye can't. She tells you why before taking them.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, with an adult. Call us to ask from what age Dr. Almaraz sees children.
